ONE DAY AT CHRISTMAS

One Day at Christmas is a charity event organised by the UK events industry creating a wonderful Christmas day experience for 3,500 people who are alone or isolated.

Originally started by Mash Media in 2015 at Excel London, the event has gathered huge momentum each year. In 2025, we were delighted to welcome two new venues, P&J Live Aberdeen and Tobacco Dock London. This meant the event was hosted simultaneously across 10 UK venues, with nine taking place on Friday 5 December 2025 and Coventry Building Society Arena hosting on Thursday 4 December 2025.

Last year, over 70 organisations from the UK events industry supported One Day at Christmas with sponsorship, gifts, entertainment and their time, helping to make a magical day for all.

STICKY WICKET

The Sticky Wicket Steering Group is a collective of event and exhibition industry people passionate about events and sports and want to raise money for a fantastic charity, Lord’s Taverners, for whom we have now raised just over £600,000 over the last 17 years!

“The Lord’s Taverners exist to positively impact the lives of young people facing the challenges of inequality. The charity works across the UK and beyond to provide inclusive and impactful cricket programmes, empowering young people with disabilities and from disadvantaged communities to develop the knowledge, skills, capabilities and confidence required to overcome the challenges of inequality, raise their aspirations and reach their potential.”
